Md Imran Ahmad is the vision and driving force behind Zingato, bringing technology and convenience to India's heartlands.
Md Imran Ahmad founded Zingato with a simple but powerful realization: modern, app-based on-demand conveniences should not be a privilege reserved only for metro city residents. Born and raised in Bihar, Imran experienced firsthand the frustration of not having access to simple delivery platforms for food and essentials.
Instead of waiting for national corporations to enter Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets, Imran chose to build a dedicated platform. He designed Zingato to be lightweight, efficient, and deeply integrated with local merchant ecosystems, tailoring the pricing, language, and logistics flow to meet the unique needs of small-town India.
Under his leadership, Zingato has grown from an experimental pilot project in Gopalganj into a professional, fast-scaling logistics network that provides local employment, increases revenues for neighborhood business owners, and delivers absolute convenience to residents.
"Our goal is not just to deliver food. We are building a hyper-local ecosystem. If a restaurant owner in Gopalganj or Siwan can grow their business by 40% and a local youth can earn a respectable income, we have succeeded in our mission. We are digitizing local commerce where it matters most."
A timeline of passion, execution, and local impact.
Imran spent months researching local merchant pain points and consumer behaviors in Gopalganj, mapping delivery routes, and identifying logistics barriers.
Launched the custom Android application optimized to run smoothly on low-end devices and operate efficiently on 3G/4G connections.
Partnered with the first 50 top-rated local eateries in Gopalganj and Mirganj, digitizing their menus and scaling local visibility.
Expanded logistical operations into Siwan. Achieved a milestone of 15,000+ completed deliveries while maintaining an average delivery time of 20 minutes.
